About the Museum Demo
Mission, history, governance, and staff by role.
Mission
To collect, preserve, and share the stories of the East Texas piney woods — its forests, industries, and communities — so every visitor can see themselves in the region's history.
History
Founded in 1974 (fictional) in the former Pinereach Lumber Company office building, the museum grew from a volunteer historical society into a county-supported institution with five galleries, an archives reading room, and a regional education program.
Governance & affiliation
Fictional affiliation note: In this demo, the museum operates under an interlocal agreement between a fictional county and the fictional City of Pinereach, with a nonprofit friends group supporting membership and fundraising. No real government entity is represented.
